Each month CarSense highlights some of the best attractions in the region in a feature called "Sunday Drives."
March 14 – 15
If you’ve always had a soft spot for antiques, the Chester County Historical Society is with you. And for 38 years, they’ve put together one of the area’s premier Antique Shows, this year featuring the collections of more than 40 high-quality dealers on the grounds of the picturesque Church Farm School in Exton.
If you’re looking for just the right piece or artifact to accent your home, we think you’ll find it: antique toys, prints and oil paintings; furniture and fine art; glittering jewelry and chandeliers; even delft pottery and dollhouse miniatures. If you’re after fine silverware, ceramics and classic cutlery, there’s plenty of that, too – imported from China, Europe and the UK. The show is always a feast for the eyes, with funds raised benefiting the important educational, cultural and preservation initiatives of CCHS.
General admission both days is $15 per person with children 10 and under admitted free. Saturday, the show runs from 10 am - 6 pm; Sunday is from 11 – 5. The most enthusiastic antique fans may want to attend an exclusive Preview Party and VIP Reception prior to the show on Friday night, with early admission ($200 per person) beginning at 5 pm and regular admission ($150 per person) at 6 pm. Check the website for details.
