Pittsburgh Says We're a Top Workplace. Our People Are the Reason.
There's a lot that goes into making CarShop a great place to work. But the best people to tell you about it aren't the people writing this blog.
They're the people who experience the CarShop culture every day.
That's why being named a 2026 Pittsburgh Top Workplace means so much to us. The recognition is based on confidential feedback provided by employees themselves. It's their experience, their voices and their opinions that put CarShop on the list.
For us, that's what makes this award worth celebrating.
Careers That Grow With You.
Across our Pittsburgh-area locations, you'll find people who didn't simply find a job at CarShop. They found a place to build a career.
Mike Driscoll, Sales Manager, actually started his CarShop story as a customer. After buying his first vehicle from CarShop, then known as CarSense, the experience inspired him to join the company as a recent college graduate.
His CarShop career has included more than three years in sales, a promotion to Sales Manager at Robinson and a later leadership opportunity at Cranberry Township.
Through it all, he says the same principles that attracted him to CarShop have remained:
"Every day I continue to carry the passion I had when I started, as well as the core values of who and what CarShop truly does: faithfully providing unequaled automotive value in an open, friendly, and trustworthy atmosphere."
Stephen Bodnar, General Sales Manager, has built his CarShop career across Pittsburgh, too. He started as a Sales Consultant at Cranberry in 2014 before moving into finance and later transferring to Robinson. From there, he advanced to Sales Manager and eventually General Sales Manager.
Before joining, Stephen had read reviews from CarShop employees talking about actually enjoying their jobs. He wasn't entirely convinced.
"At the time, I thought it was an exaggeration—until I accepted a position and experienced it firsthand!"
More than a decade after beginning his CarShop career, that experience has included plenty of professional growth — and even running The Pittsburgh Great Race alongside fellow CarShop associates.
A Workplace That Feels Like Home.
For Jill Sedoris, Pittsburgh Office Manager / Title Clerk, joining CarShop wasn't originally part of the plan.
After 20 years in the automotive industry, Jill was considering leaving the industry entirely. But friends who had purchased vehicles from CarShop encouraged her to give the company a look.
Then came the interview. "As soon as I walked into the interview, it felt like home."
More than ten years later, Jill has grown into the role of Pittsburgh Area Office Manager. The culture that first caught her attention is a big part of why she's stayed.
"I can speak firsthand as to how much CarShop treats their associates like family, and how much they respect our work/life balance. I thoroughly enjoy my job and my team, and I love coming to work every day."
That's the kind of feedback we're proud to hear — and the kind that makes a Top Workplace recognition especially meaningful.
It's Not Just About Where You Start.
One clear thread runs through so many CarShop stories: opportunity.
People come to CarShop from different industries, backgrounds and levels of automotive experience. What matters more is what they bring to the table — integrity, curiosity, drive and a willingness to grow.
Our values help create an environment where that growth can happen:
- Integrity. Doing what's right, even when no one's watching.
- Caring for One Another. Treating people with dignity and respect.
- Innovation. Giving good ideas a chance, no matter where they come from.
- Mutual Accountability. Taking ownership while supporting your team.
- Passion for Success. Always looking for ways to do better.
- Fair and Equitable. Making sure different perspectives are heard.
- Opportunity Through Growth. Giving people the chance to learn, advance and build careers.
Those aren't just words on a wall. They're reflected in people who've spent 10 years or more building their careers here — and in employees who are just getting started.
Maybe Your CarShop Story Starts Here.
You don't necessarily need years of automotive experience to work at CarShop.
Many open positions at CarShop are opportunities for people who bring the right attitude and values to the job. We can teach the automotive side. We're looking for people who are ready to learn, contribute and grow.
To our teams in Robinson, Cranberry Township and across the Pittsburgh area: thank you.
Being named a 2026 Pittsburgh Top Workplace is an honor.
Knowing it happened because of what you had to say makes it even better.
And we're always looking for great people to join us.
